Carolina Prosthetics & Orthotics provides prosthetics for physician-referred patients. We are locally owned, family operated, and have been serving clients in the South Carolina counties and cities of Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Newberry, McCormick, and the surrounding areas. Our dedicated staff includes Board Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists and accredited members of the American Board for Certification (ABC) in Prosthetics and Orthotics. We are a member of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA) and an Official Orthotic Provider for Clemson University Athletics. We are also VA approved.

At Carolina Prosthetics & Orthotics, our goal is to make our patients happy. We counsel, advise, and educate them on the best prosthetic(s) for their individual purposes. Every patient gets follow up appointments (at no extra charge) to make sure everything is working out and they are comfortable. Our facility is accredited and undergoes routine audits by government officials, including chart audits, safety inspections, and patient audits.

Carolina Prosthetics & Orthotics has been in business since 2006, so we know how your body works, and have the experience and technical skills to build a prosthesis that’s just right for you.

You May Need to Replace Your Prosthesis When:

  • You have gained a lot of weight
  • Prosthetic components (parts) no longer work the way they should
  • Your activity level changes
  • You need a new component that does not work well with what you have.

You Might Need to Replace Components of a Modular Prosthesis When:

  • The socket is too big, too small, or the wrong shape and causes pain or infection
  • Parts of your prosthesis have shrunk or stretched and are no longer safe
  • Materials are cracked or broken
  • Materials are not strong enough to hold your weight
  • There is a leak or breakdown in the suction suspension
  • You cannot keep your prosthesis clean anymore.
